Coach and Manager Registration is CLOSED
Registration for the 2025 Winter Season will open in early January
Volunteering as a coach or manager at Abbotsford Juniors Football Club is a highly rewarding experience that any member of our community, male or female, regardless of prior football experience, can do. No experience is necessary other than a ‘Give it a Go” attitude. Training and support is provided by the Club and registration is at no cost.
Important Information about Registration
- Registration for the 2024 Winter Season with Abbotsford Juniors Football Club (and all other Clubs in the Football Canterbury Association) will be completed in the Dribl Registration system
- New to football coaches and managers in 2024 do not need to register with Football Australia to obtain a FA Number UNLESS they are seeking accreditation for training courses completed by an accredited training body like the Football Canterbury Association
- Consideration should be given to uploading a new passport style photo of the coach or manager being registered to avoid issues with old or out of date photos when attending games
- Coaches and managers returning from a previous season should use their existing Dribl Registration account to register in 2024, updating any relevant details as required
- You can manage and request multiple player, coach and manager registrations from a single Dribl Registration Account (you do not need separate Dribl accounts). For example, a parent who coaches or manages their child’s team, can register themselves as a coach or manager and also register their child from a single account and email address
- In accordance with Football NSW Regulations, Abbotsford Juniors Football Club requires that ALL coaches and team managers of Junior and Youth teams (up to Under 18 and Under 19 age groups) must complete and obtain a current clearance through the Working with Children Check process.
Coach and Manager Registration
Step 1 – Obtain A Working with Children CHeck
ALL coaches and team managers of AJFC Mini-Roos, Junior and Youth teams up to the age of Under 19 years must complete and obtain a current clearance through the NSW Government’s Working with Children Check process. Details of the process can be found on the NSW Government Office of the Children’s Guardian or Service NSW website at Working with Children Check.
If you already have a Working with Children Check clearance, please check it remains current. A failure to supply valid and current Working with Children Check at the time of registration will see registration with the Club withheld.
Step 2 – Create a Dribl Registration Account (if required)
For new coaches or managers who have not registered with Abbotsford Juniors Football Club or the Football Canterbury Association before, visit the Dribl Registration system. Click Login (top right hand side of the screen) and select the Create Account button to setup your new account.
Existing AJFC coaches and managers should use their existing Dribl account to login to commence registration.
Step 3 – Complete Coach OR Manager registration
Navigate to the Dribl Registration system, select the appropriate season and follow the steps detailed in our Dribl Registration Guide remembering to provide your team name when requested.
Coach and Manager Assignment to a Team
Your registration will be reviewed and processed by the Club. All prospective coaches and managers at Abbotsford Juniors Football Club must register with the Club. Coach and Manager registrations that have not completed a Working with Children Check will not be progressed and approved by the Club, until such time as this information is completed and validated.
Abbotsford Juniors Football Club holds a Coaches and Team Managers’ Forum (usually held in March) of each calendar year which provides important information on changes to rules, processes and operational detail that apply for the upcoming season. The forum also provides an opportunity for new coaches and managers to have any questions they have answered by Club Officials in attendance. The date and time of the forum will be announced on our website, Facebook page and emailed directly to registered coaches and team managers.
During the year, the Football Canterbury Association and Abbotsford Juniors Football Club run a number of coaching courses and development sessions. These include accredited Football NSW coaching courses. The Club funds attendance at these training courses upon successful completion of the course and strongly encourages all its coaches, whether parents or other interested community members to take advantage of this development opportunity.
