The Spectators Code of Conduct applies to spectators who attend a game or event in support of a member registered with Abbotsford Juniors Football Club. As a Spectator attending a match or game involving Abbotsford Junior Football Club (“the Club”), I agree to comply with the Spectators Code of Conduct.
Spectator Behaviour
As a Spectator attending a match or game involving Abbotsford Juniors Football Club I agree to:
- Comply with the AJFC Member Protection Policy and all other relevant AJFC Policies and Procedures
- Be a good sport and treat all participants as I wish to be treated
- Encourage players to participate and do their best
- Applaud good performance from all participants regardless of the match outcome
- Not yell or ridicule a player for making a mistake or losing a game
- Respect a match official’s decisions. I will remember that officials, like everyone, can make mistakes
- Control my temper. Verbal abuse, sledging, deliberately distracting or provoking officials or any other participant in the sport are not acceptable behaviour
- Not arrive at the field intoxicated or under the influence of illicit substances
- Respect and follow the directions of match officials and club officials. I will remember that without them, players could not play football
- Respect the rights, dignity and worth of all people involved in the game regardless of their gender, ability, cultural background or religion
Breach of this Code of Conduct
I understand that any breach of the Spectators Code of Conduct may result in sanctions being imposed upon me by Abbotsford Junior Football Club. At the discretion of the Club, these may include:
- A verbal or written warning
- Removal from the technical area and/or from the field or stadium
- A fine or suspension imposed by the Club
- A fine or suspension imposed by the Football Canterbury Association (“the Association”)
- Cancellation of your registration as a Coach with the Club
- Loss of membership of the Club
- Rejection of your registration as a Coach with the Club for any future season
- And/or legal proceedings
