Information about AJFC Playing Jerseys

Player jerseys are be supplied by the Club directly to team coaches and managers for distribution to players within the team – they are not ordered on an individual basis.  Each year, AJFC playing jerseys are returned and retained by the Club. The jerseys are sorted, packaged and reissued to coaches and managers of teams prior to the new season for distribution to players.  Limited exchanges of player jerseys where sizing is incorrect are possible at the AJFC Club Shed located at Campbell Park. Dates and times for exchanges will be advise by the Club.

Finally, all player jerseys are to be collected and returned at the end of the year to your team coach and manager. A failure to return a jersey may see a Club fine be applied or registration refused the following season.

Frequently Asked Questions about AJFC Playing Kit

How and when can I order my AJFC playing kit (shorts and socks)?

Full detail on how to order your playing kit shorts and socks is available via our How to Order Playing Kit Guide located at the bottom of this page. The Club will provide you with a confirmed Voucher Code via email for your football kit. You can and should order your football playing kit as soon as you receive your voucher.

I have more than one AJFC player in my family, can I place a single order for all of the football kit we need?

Yes. You can order each players’ playing kit in a single order by adding all the shorts and socks you need to the order and entering the each of the associated Voucher Codes for each player in the designated order field. The Club recommends this approach to minimise delivery costs associated with sourcing playing multiple playing kits for families.

Can I choose my playing kit jersey number?

No. While we understand that players have preferred jersey numbers, in a Club of our size we must adopt an efficient number allocation process using 2 to 99 across our age divisions (and 1 for goalkeepers).  Jerseys will be allocated to players by their team coach and manager once collected from the Club.

How do I know what size shorts and socks to order?

The Club retains a set of sample jerseys, shorts and sock sizes for players to try on at the Club Shed. Dates as to when try-on sessions are conducted will be published via the AJFC website, Club email and AJFC social media.

I need to order playing kit shorts for my daughter – do I order Unisex sizing or Women’s size shorts?

AJFC playing kit shorts come in two different designs – Unisex shorts are intended for junior and youth players (boys and girls) and male players up to adult. Female shorts are available in adult women’s sizes starting from XS WOMENS (Size 8). Women’s shorts are a specific design for female adult players which are shorter in length than their equivalent size in Unisex. For comparison purposes, Unisex size 16 shorts are of a similar overall size to Women’s XS size 8 shorts.

I’m a dedicated goalkeeper. Can I order a goalkeeper jersey/kit?

Yes, you can.  However, please note that all junior and youth teams will be provided with a goalkeeper jersey for their team. By default, if you are not a full-time goalkeeper, a regular playing jersey will also be made available. If you are a dedicated goalkeeper and would prefer a goalkeeper kit, please contact the Club at info@abbotsfordjuniorsfc.com.au.

Do junior and youth teams need a player to purchase a goalkeeper jersey/kit?

No, the Club will provide a goalkeeper jersey for those junior teams that need one, even if they have a dedicated goalkeeper.

How will I receive/collect my football kit?

All orders will be delivered (with authority to leave) to your nominated address (delivery cost applies).  There is no opportunity for collection from a store or the Club Shed unless otherwise directly advised by the Club beforehand.

Is there an order deadline to have my playing kit (shorts and socks) before the season start?

Players should ensure they complete registration with Abbotsford Juniors Football Club in Dribl no later than the date advised by the Club. While the Club will do its best to facilitate registration and the provision of Voucher Codes for ordering, players who register after this time ARE NOT guaranteed to receive their playing kit by the first weekend of the season. Players should place an order for shorts and socks no later than the advised date to ensure that they receive their playing kit for the start of the 2024 Winter season.

I have ordered the wrong size playing kit (shorts or socks) – what can I do?

The Club maintains a limited supply of shorts and socks at its Club Shed located at Campbell Park.  If you find that the kit you have ordered and had delivered is the wrong size, please bring it to the Club Shed where we will look to exchange it for a suitable size (subject to availability).  No kit, no exchange.

Do I have to return my football kit after the season completes?

All player jerseys are to be collected and returned at the end of the year by your team coach and manager.  A failure to return a jersey may result in the player/parent assigned the jersey being charged the cost of the jersey by way of a fine.  Your playing kit shorts and socks are yours to keep and do not need to be returned.

I am a member of an AJFC Academy team – how do I get my Academy training kit?

AJFC Academy kits are ordered and distributed by the Club to academy team and select Division 1 team players. To allow for alignment of player numbers, these will be ordered and produced after regular playing kits have been assigned to players.  Information on this process will be sent directly to AJFC Academy coaches for onward distribution and coordination with team members each season.
