The AJFC Pitch Setup Schedule and Ground Official Schedules will be published by 5pm Friday prior to the weekend throughout the Winter football season. Teams that are the first team to play on a field will be scheduled to setup that field. Teams that are the last team to play on a field will be scheduled to pack up that field.
Weekly Pitch Setup Schedule
A sample of the AJFC weekly pitch setup schedule (2024 Season) can be downloaded below. The schedule is only active and updated during the Winter football season.
Small Sided Football Pitch Setup
Junior and Youth teams who are nominated for pitch setup of Campbell Park Half 1, Campbell Park Half 2, Lysaght Park Mini 1 and Lysaght Park Mini 2 fields should ensure that they arrive 30 minutes before their match start time to setup their pitch. We recommend team managers secure 2 to 3 parents to assist with setup and pack-up of the pitch for each home game that the team is nominated. Equipment for setup including goals and nets, corner and half-way line posts, will be available from the AJFC Club Shed on game days.
Small Sided Football Pitch Pack Down
Teams nominated for pack down of a pitch must do so in a prompt manner as soon as the match is completed. We recommend team managers secure 2 to 3 parents to assist with pack-up when required. In most cases, other AJFC teams will be in the process of setting up the full size pitch on the same field in readiness for matches that follow. Equipment should be returned to the AJFC Club Shed.
Full Size Pitch Setup
Youth and Senior Teams nominated for the setup of their pitch and should arrive at least 30 minutes before their scheduled match start time to ensure setup is completed on time. We strongly recommend team managers secure 2 to 3 parents/supporters to assist with the setup task.
Trolleys containing all of the required equipment for the setup of Campbell Park Field 1, Campbell Park Field 2, Campbell Park Field 3 and Lysaght Park Field 1 are available from the AJFC Club Shed. It is critical that all full size pitches have the following completed before a match starts:
– That the field is properly roped off ensuring that the goals and technical areas are enclosed;
– That goal nets are affixed in place or moved correctly in to place;
– That corner and half way flags are in place; and
– That benches for both teams and match officials have been placed in the technical area.
Detailed instructions on how to setup and rope off pitches on game days are outlined in our AJFC Game Day Pitch Setup Guide. Your team may be reported by the referee and fined by Football Canterbury Association if this is not completed correctly. If you are missing ropes or any other equipment for setup, please speak to a Club Official at the AJFC Club Shed or the Campbell Park Canteen immediately.
Full Size Pitch Pack Down
Teams nominated for pitch pack down should ensure that all equipment is placed in the trolley for their respective pitch and returned to the Club House prior to starting post-match celebrations or drinks. Equipment is to be returned to trolleys and returned to the AJFC Club Shed.
Please see a Club Official at the AJFC Club Shed or Campbell Park Canteen in the event of any questions or issues on game days.
